Who holds the QTC?#

The platform. Outside a trade, your QTC sits in your own wallet: an ordinary Quantus account whose keys the platform stores encrypted and uses to sign for you. During a trade, the QTC sits in the platform’s escrow wallet, a single hot wallet whose address is published on the Transparency page.

You can export your wallet’s 24-word recovery phrase, but the platform keeps its copy: exporting does not end custody.

What happens if the platform is hacked or disappears?#

Your QTC is at risk, and you should know this before depositing. The platform holds a copy of every wallet’s keys and controls the escrow wallet. An attacker who compromises it could move deposited and escrowed QTC. There is no insurance and no audit yet.

If the platform went offline, a phrase you exported earlier would still open your wallet in the Quantus wallet app. QTC locked in escrow at that moment could only be moved by the platform.

Keep on the platform only what you are trading, and withdraw the rest.

How can I verify a trade myself?#

The trade room links the lock, the USDC payment and the release to the Quantus and Arbitrum explorers. The escrow wallet is one public address, so its balance and every move in or out can be followed. Completed public trades are listed on the Settlements page with the same links.

What the chain cannot show you is who may sign: the escrow wallet and the user wallets are ordinary accounts, and the rules for moving them are enforced by the platform’s software.

Has the platform been audited?#

Not yet. No third-party security audit has been completed and there is no bug bounty at this time. The Transparency page describes the custody design and its limits so you can judge the risk yourself. Size your deposits accordingly.
